The record itself was released near the end of 2020, and I spent the preceding year rolling out a multi media collection of singles, photography, and video.
Inspired by my upbringing in the suburbs of Detroit and my young adult years in Chicago, I grapple with mental health issues, family lineage, and ideology. The title is a dual reference to personal growth and the vacant automotive plants that remain in Detroit as a symbol of automation and white flight to the suburbs.
'No Feedback' is the centerpiece of the whole body of work. A chaotic reflection of social media in the age of the personal brand. Throughout the year-long release campaign, I directed teaser clips for each single, which later came together to form the final video.
